Is Bronkhorstspruit Dam safe?

We are all concerned about the condition of the dam's water.
Like previous years, the organisers will stay in touch with the resort owner as well as Dept of Water Affairs.
We're also in correspondence with Kungwini Municipality.

The health of the swimmers is important to us and we will keep swimmers up to date.

What's the latest!?

The problem regarding the Koffiespruit has been sorted out.
According to the owner of the resort there is no existing problem.

A few weeks ago I was told that the sluices were open and the water condition is fine for swimming.

Scientific tests will be done again in January.

Test results will be available on Tuesday - I'll keep you posted.

Lab results show that the water quality is in the low risk category - very much the same that it was in 2010 when we had a safe swim!

The water has been tested and the message is: The quality is even better than last year!
